General Questions

My solar light isn't turning on. What should I do?

Before contacting us, please check the following:

  • Remove the protective film from the solar panel.
  • Remove the battery safety tab (if applicable).
  • Make sure the power switch is turned ON.
  • Place the light in direct sunlight for 24 hours before first use.
  • Cover the solar panel with your hand to test if the light turns on. If it does, the light is working properly and simply needs a darker installation location.

If you're still having trouble, contact our support team and we'll be happy to assist.

Can I replace the battery?

Yes. Most of our solar lights use replaceable rechargeable batteries. We recommend using high-quality rechargeable batteries such as Energizer Solar Rechargeable Batteries or the battery type specified in your product manual.

Can I install solar lights under a tree?

We don't recommend it.

For the best performance, install your solar lights where they'll receive at least 5–6 hours of direct sunlight every day.

How do I clean my solar lights?

Simply wipe the solar panel with a soft damp cloth or rinse it with water to remove dirt and dust.

Keeping the solar panel clean helps maximize charging efficiency.

Do LED bulbs need to be replaced?

No.

Our LED lights are designed to last for many years and typically do not require bulb replacement.

Solar Pathway Lights

Are solar pathway lights worth it?

Yes. Solar pathway lights provide beautiful nighttime lighting without increasing your electricity bill. They charge during the day and automatically illuminate at dusk, making them an energy-efficient and low-maintenance solution.

How long do solar pathway lights last?

Most solar pathway lights provide 6–10 hours of illumination per night after a full charge.

The rechargeable batteries generally last 2–5 years before needing replacement.

Do solar pathway lights need batteries?

Yes.

Solar lights store energy in rechargeable batteries during the day and use that stored power to illuminate your property at night.

Do solar pathway lights need direct sunlight?

For best performance, yes.

Solar lights can still charge in partial sunlight, but direct sunlight provides longer runtime and brighter performance.

Do solar lights work during winter?

Yes.

Solar lights continue working throughout winter as long as the solar panel receives enough daylight to recharge.

How do solar pathway lights work?

Solar panels collect sunlight during the day and store the energy in rechargeable batteries.

At dusk, the built-in light sensor automatically turns on the LED light using the stored energy.

Why did my solar lights stop working?

Common causes include:

  • Dirty solar panel
  • Worn rechargeable battery
  • Insufficient sunlight
  • Power switch turned OFF
  • Sensor receiving too much surrounding light

Most issues can be solved with simple troubleshooting.

Where should I install pathway lights?

Popular locations include:

  • Walkways
  • Driveways
  • Garden paths
  • Flower beds
  • Around patios
  • Pool areas
  • Landscape features
  • Entryways

Avoid installing them where trees or buildings block sunlight.

Solar street lights offer many advantages, including:

  • No electrical wiring required
  • Lower installation costs
  • Minimal maintenance
  • Energy savings
  • Environmentally friendly operation
  • Reliable dusk-to-dawn lighting

What should I consider before installation?

For the best results:

  • Install the solar panel in direct sunlight.
  • Avoid shade from trees or buildings.
  • Fully charge the battery before first use.
  • Keep the panel away from artificial light sources.

What information do I need for a commercial lighting project?

To recommend the right lighting solution, we typically need:

  • Project location
  • Pole height
  • Mounting height
  • Area dimensions
  • Desired brightness
  • Hours of operation
  • Backup runtime for cloudy weather

Our lighting experts will help calculate the best solution for your project.

How do solar street lights turn on and off?

Our solar street lights feature intelligent controllers that automatically:

  • Charge during daylight
  • Turn on at dusk
  • Turn off at dawn
  • Protect the battery from overcharging and over-discharging

No manual operation is required.

Will solar street lights work during several cloudy days?

Yes.

Our systems are designed with battery storage to continue operating through multiple cloudy or rainy days, depending on the model selected.

Do your solar street lights have timer settings?

Yes.

Many models include programmable lighting modes such as:

  • Full brightness
  • Motion sensor mode
  • Multi-stage brightness
  • Timed operation
  • Remote-control settings

How much maintenance is required?

Very little.

Simply clean the solar panel every 3–5 months to remove dust and debris and maintain maximum charging efficiency.
